How We Invest

We typically invest alongside established venture partners into Series Seed or A rounds. We have invested in over 20 companies (numerous exits) with preferred investment sizes of $500K-$2.5M. We do not lead investments or establish valuations. Our value, in addition to capital, includes company and product strategy, go-to-market, and execution all with a razor-sharp focus on cybersecurity. We are often brought in to fill out a round, or we are invited into a round expansion for our expertise. Individual members frequently join advisory boards, serve as independent board members, and/or provide periodic strategy sessions with company executives.

Our Process

Initial Briefing:  MetroSITE Group will have 1-2 members meet with start-up founders to hear an overview and see the demo. 

Initial Briefing Feedback:  We will let you know quickly if there’s interest in continuing the conversation or if there are other alternative pathways for funding.

Group Briefings: MetroSITE Group will coordinate conversations and demos with our broader community and technology partners to generate deeper analysis, interest, and discussion.  Oftentimes the founders find the feedback valuable with new perspectives.

Investment Prep:  At this point, MetroSITE Group has a critical mass level of interest, and we will work with you to establish a range of investment options. We can help introduce founders to prospective lead VC investors if one is not already established. If a VC is already leading the deal and setting the terms, then this step is not applicable. 

MetroSITE Group Investment:  We will create a special-purpose vehicle (SPV) to include all angel investors. This single entity on the cap table dramatically reduces the administration level for the company and the MetroSITE Group syndicate.

Investment Reviews:  Periodic reviews are conducted every six months with the participating MetroSITE Group investors.
